Ulf Schneider – President |

Ulf Schneider is the Managing Director of Lantiq Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore, a carve-out of the Broadband Communications business unit from Infineon Technologies, since November 2009.
Ulf has more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to this appointment, Ulf has held different managing positions with Infineon Technologies and Siemens Semiconductors in Germany, India, China, Israel and Singapore.
Ulf has been the President of Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA) since 2005 and has served as a Board Member of the National Research Foundation of Singapore for the period 2005 to 2009. He is a member of the Singapore-MIT Alliance Governing Board since October 2009 as well as a member of the Singapore Customs Advisory Committee since July 2010. In addition to his multiple portfolios, he has also been an active member of the National University of Singapore's Electrical & Computer Engineering Department Consultative Committee since November 2006 and the Chairman for the Singapore-German Chamber of Industry & Commerce (SGC) R&D Committee, as well as the Conference Chair for A-SSCC 2013 Committee.
Ulf holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen in Germany. He is married to his wife, Nicole and has a daughter, Laila. |

Mike’s experience spans multiple disciplines including: marketing, product development, operations and mergers/acquisitions in both entrepreneurial and senior management positions. Prior to leadership roles in venture-backed technology companies, Mike spent 15 years at Texas Instruments/Silicon Systems which include leading a business from start up to greater than $100M in sales.

Sandeep has multi-dimensional background in Human Resources, Consulting & Information Technology domain across Singapore, India and the United States of America. He has unique experiences of working in multi-nationals, government organization, & start-ups. He has previously worked with IBM, Apar Infotech, KIOCL, Readiminds. He is currently the Managing Director of Flexione Pte Ltd, a Singapore based on-site technical services firm supporting Information Technology and Electronics Firms.
Sandeep has a Masters Degree in Personnel Management and Labour Welfare from Utkal University with a First Class rank (Gold Medalist). He has also pursued HR and Management courses in the continuing studies arm of Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley. He has co-authored CCH Publications "HR Strategies in Asia ". During his spare time he pursues his other interest, "music" and has been featured in the Singapore Arts Festival as a singer. |

Meenu Sarin – Assistant Secretary |

Meenu Sarin value-adds to her clients through her company, VLSI Consultancy, by helping them address their various challenges and issues in the techno-commercial space in the semiconductor eco-system. She broadly focuses on 3 main facets - Talent Development, Strategic planning and Technology/Product roadmap planning, and Program Management consulting and implementation.
Meenu's experience in the semiconductor industry spans across various facets of operations and across geographies like Europe, India, Singapore, Greater China and Australia. Prior to starting VLSI Consultancy, Meenu was a Technical Marketing Manager in STMicroelectronics (STM/Singapore with focus on Telecom segment. In this role, she was responsible for Business Development and Program Management for STM's semicustom ASIC projects in Asia Pacific. She also worked as a Program Manager in charge of managing various semi-custom projects with customers in the Asia-Pacific Region. Before her move to STM Singapore, Meenu worked at STM India. As a Design Manager for Library Design Group, she was responsible for starting up and managing a 30 member team involved in design and development of semi-custom digital libraries in various technologies across different platforms as per the market requirements, and to support designers in STM's worldwide locations. Prior to this, Meenu had been a Design Engineer for digital library design and development at STM Italy for several years after she received her engineering degree (Computer Engineering) from Delhi Institute of Technology, India in 1988. |

Paymon Rasekhy – Assistant Treasurer |

Paymon is a 23 year veteran of the semiconductor industry. After 17 years of working in various engineering and management roles in the semicon fabless and IDM companies, he founded Lynxemi, a test development and supply chain management company based in Singapore.
Prior to starting Lynxemi, Paymon was the VP of Manufacturing at SwitchCore AB, a Swedish fabless company, where he was responsible for the product commercialization of SwitchCore's products, taking the revenue from $0 to $20M/year.
His other years were spent at Motorola, Silicon Systems and CommQuest (IBM subsidiary) product and test engineering.

Darence Tan is a Regional Sales Manager with Synopsys Singapore. He oversees the South Asia region, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan etc. He has been with Synopsys for over 12 years. He is actively involved in the business development and manpower development programs in South Asia working with various multi-national companies, government organizations, universities, research institutes and startups.
Before joining Synopsys, Darence has worked with Cadence and Mentor Graphics, which encompassed various roles of responsibility such as applications support, technical marketing, consulting and design services.

Glen A. Riley is Vice President and Managing Director of TriQuint International Pte Ltd located in Singapore. Mr. Riley joined TriQuint in 2003 and was most recently Vice President and General Manager of the Commercial Foundry Businese Unit. Before joining TriQuint, Mr. Riley served as President and CEO of Opticalis, a venture funded start-up company developing optical communication sub-systems. Prior to Opticalis, Mr. Riley worked at Agere Systems as Vice President of Optical Core Networks, Vice President of Asia-Pacific Sales and Marketing, and General Manager of Storage Prodcuts. Prior to Agere Systems, Mr. Riley held positions in sales, marketing and management at Philips Semiconductors and Texas Instruments. He holds a B.S. degree with highest distinction in electrical engineering from the University of Maine and has completed the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School. |

Jerome Tjia has been working in the semiconductor and electronics industries for more than 22 years. He started off as IC Design Engineer and progressed to hold many R&D management position: IC Design Manager, Architecture & Standard Design Manager, Program Manager and Development Manager.
Jerome has worked on various products and technologies ranging from Ethernet to USB to Ultra Wide Band and Wireless Connectivity. He is currently with Infineon Technologies AP Pte Ltd as the Head of Development Centre. Jerome holds a BE (1st Class Honors) from University of New South Wales, Australia and a MSc from National University of Singapore. He is married and has two sons. His hobbies include badminton, photography and audiophile music. |

Dr Lai Weng Hong - Executive Committee Member |

Weng Hong has 15 years of diverse working experience in advance node wafer fabrication, device modeling, IC Design service, testing and failure analysis (FA). He also has experience in business developmetn and customer engagement. His core expertise is in electrostatic discharge (EDS) design, testing and FA. In his current role as Scientist at A*STAR Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), he actively supports the local semiconductor industry via technology transfer and provision of training courses to the local semiconductor Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and multinational companies (MNCs) in collaboration with other government agencies. Apart from SSIA, he is also a member of two other technical committees in the ESD Association (ESDA) and Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES). He is a graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with B. Eng. (Hons) and phD in Electrical Engineering with major in Microelectronics. |

Lavi Lev has 30 years of Silicon Valley Business, R&D and operational management in the Microprocessor Chip Design, Electronic Design Automation software (EDA), Test Equipment and Contract Manufacturing industries. Some of his achievements include the circuit design of the first Pentium Microprocessor (Intel), the design of the first UltraSparc Microprocessor (Sun Microsystems), the development of the technology that powers the Nintendo and Sony video games (MIPS), and the business responsibility for the $1B Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software of Cadence Design Systems. Lavi is currently the Senior VP Asia at Ultra Clean Technology. His most recent role prior to moving to Asia was President and CEO of Credence Systems: NASDAQ - LTXC. Lavi has extensive Merger and Acquisition experience concluding 20 deals in Asia, Europe and the US totaling over $2B. Lavi graduated from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology and from the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music. He is the author of 15 patents and numerous papers covering Semiconductor, Internet, EDA software and Consumer Electronics technologies. |

K.C. Leong received his B. Eng (Hons) and MEng (Microelectronics) from Nanyang Technological University in 1996 and 1998 respectively. He joined the then-CHARTERED SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING (now GLOBALFOUNDRIES) in 1998 in the R&D Department working on 0.25 µm. 0.18 µm and 0.13 µm CMOS technologies as well as the 0.18 µm SiGeBiCMOS technology. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Learning & Organization Development (L&OD) department in GLOBALFOUNDRIES overseeing the technical talent sourcing and training & development of the technical pipeline: Industrial Postgraduate Program Program (EDB-IPP), Joint Industrial Postgraduate Program (EDB-JIP), Specialist Manpower Program (EDB-SMP) and Alpha (GF's internal 1-year intensive training program to accelerate learning cuve of engineers). |

Philippe earned his MS in Electrical Engineering, MS and PhD in Computer Science in 92, 93 and 96. He worked at Siemens, Infineon and Texas Instruments in Germany, US, France and Singapore. He is now managing the SoC Design team at ST Ericsson in Singapore.
His main interests are Low Power, Wireless IC, Design Automation, Embedded Systems and advanced Packaging.
Philippe has worked on various applications such as Automotive, Non-volatile memories, Security and Smart Cards, Digital Basebands, Application processors and Connectivity. He likes sharing his enthusiasm for technologies and is occasionally teaching IC Design at University. |

Dr See Kwang Seng - Executive Committee Member |

Kwang Seng is the Programme Director for Silicon Technologies, Centre of Excellence (Si-COE) in Nanyang Technology University (NTU). He is responsible for attracting international and local universities and organizations for the establishment of joint research and business ventures. He is also in charge of exploring and facilitating commercialization of emerging technologies and the spin-off of start-up companies. He also provides liaison between Si-COE and external groups including companies, professional associations, government agencies, academia and funding agencies.
Before joining NTU, he was with Global Silicon Partners (GSP) of Globalfoundries Singapore (GFS) for 8 years as a Process Integration Senior Section Manager. He was in charge of 0.13 μm Low Power (RF), Ultra-Low Power, Low-Voltage-High-Performance, High Voltage, EEPROM technologies and has worked with major customers from the US, EU and AP regions. He was also the Lead Manager in charge of Total Process Control and Electrical Testing Automation inthe department. He graduated from GFS' Organizational Development Leadership Program (ODLP) in 2011, which was designed for higer-performing managers.

Prof Yeo Kiat Seng - Executive Committee Member |

YEO KIAT SENG received his B.Eng. (Hons) (Elect) in 1993, and Ph.D. (Elect. Eng.) in 1996 both from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was Sub-Dean (Student Affairs) from 2001 to 2005. During this period, he also held several concurrent research appointments. He is consultants/advisors to statutory boards and multinational corporations in the areas of semiconductor devices, electronics and integrated circuit design.
Professor Yeo currently heads the Division of Circuits and Systems. His research interests include device characterization and modeling, RF IC design, and low-voltage low-power IC design. He has successfully completed 9 research projects amounting to S$2.2 million and is currently the Principal Investigator for 9 on-going research projects amounting to S$3.9 million. He serves in the organizing and program committees of many international conferences and has authored four books, filed/granted 14 patents and published over 200 articles on CMOS/BiCMOS technology and integrated circuit design in leading technical journals and conferences worldwide. He is a technical reviewer for several prestigious international journals and was listed in some professional organizations. |

Wang Yihua received the B.Sc degree from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of University of Science and Technology of China, and the Ph.D degree from the Department of Physics of National University of Singapore. He worked in semiconductor research institute and industry for 8 years and joined Republic Polytechnic in 2009. Currently he is a Senior Academic Staff in the Diploma in Micro and Nanotechnology of School Engineering. Yihua published over 30 papers in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His main interests are semiconductor process technologies, nanotechnology applications, green electronics and clean energy.

Dr Holly Ott – Programs Management, Training & Development |

Holly holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in semiconductor material characterization and device modeling and has worked for twelve years in semiconductor production in the USA, Europe and Asia for JVs with Siemens, Motorola, IBM and Infineon. Most recently she played a key role in the transfer of Infineon's wireless operations from Germany to Singapore and headed the Television Tuner planning division from Singapore. Her work has been in the areas of device simulation and matching, volume electrical and reliability testing, and operations and supply chain management. Currently, Holly is a senior lecturer of Operations and Supply Chain Management in the School of Management at the Technical University of Munich and is an adjunct professor at Singapore Management University and an associate faculty at SIM University. She is active with the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association to support training and development needs for semiconductor companies in Singapore. |

Wah Yi has 15 years of experience in Business Development and Sales for SMEs and startups. She started off as a Financial Planner upon graduating from NUS. Despite joining the workforce during the 1998 recession, she successfully achieved the Million Dollar Club within 2 years.
She later moved on to do regional business development work for Huper Optik International where she recruited and managed distributors in the SEA market. During her employment with Double A, she set-up and spearheaded the new Double A Copy Center business unit in Singapore and successfully captured 40 key accounts within 3 years.
